One: my friend Meg, who just adopted two girls from Ethiopia. I got to meet them last weekend at Martha's birthday party. Being with them reminded me that all is well in the world.
Two: my friends, here Kelvin and Ryan.
Three: the amazingness of the people in my life. This was the view from a very fabulous boat tour fundraiser my friend Lisa coordinated to both celebrate her husband Will's 40th birthday, and to raise money for a school in their neighborhood.
Too bad no one got a photo of me auctioneering that night. I had a glass of wine in me and decided the job they were doing auctioning off a cake wasn't good enough... and channeled my Uncle Larry (who auctioneered at a livestock market my family owned in Nebraska for many many years and now auctions antiques) to get the job done. Didn't do half bad, if I can say so myself: $75 for an almond cake.
Life is busy but good around here. :-)
